Live Review Of The Kills At New York City’s Webster Hall Is Online At Powerline A.D.

Posted in British music, British rock, Music, Rock Music with tags , , , , , on May 3, 2008 by John Curley

The founder of this blog, Patrick Prince, and I had the very good fortune to attend Thursday night’s performance by the Anglo-American, London-based duo The Kills at Webster Hall in New York City. The Kills overcame support sets by two terrible bands and an unscheduled 20-minute intermission brought about by a backstage fire to put on a scorching performance. Webster Hall was packed for the gig, and it was very hot and sweaty inside the venue–a perfect atmosphere for a live gig. Touring in support of their latest effort, Midnight Boom, The Kills had the crowd going from the first note. Many people in the crowd were dancing during the performance. I’d never seen The Kills live before Thursday night’s show, and I came away very impressed indeed. They are a spectacular live act.

The review of the show is now online on the main Powerline A.D. site at http://www.powerlinead.com/live.
