Nicole Atkins Does Live Session For Paste Magazine

Nicole Atkins and her new band, The Black Sea, recently recorded a live session for the Web site of the music magazine Paste. You can watch the session on pastemagazine.com. 

Nicole and The Black Sea performed the following songs in their Paste set:

It’s a good set, but I was a bit disappointed that Nicole didn’t perform any tunes from her stellar Neptune City album. She does have a fantastic voice. I would listen to her sing the phone book.

Live Videos Of New Songs By Nicole Atkins Are Online

Three videos of live versions of new songs by the New Jersey-based singer-songwriter Nicole Atkins are up on Vimeo.com. The new songs are “The Tower,” “Hotel Plaster,” and “Heavy Boots.” They were recorded at a show that Akins did with her new band, The Black Sea, at The Bell House in Brooklyn on August 6th. The video and sound quality are both excellent. All of the songs are good. I particularly like “The Tower.” It’s a fantastic showcase for Atkins’ powerhouse vocals.
