Aerosmith Will Look for New Singer. Say It Ain’t So, Joe!
Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is now saying that Aerosmith is “not splitting up” but “looking for a new singer to work with.”
Who? Robert Plant?! Because that’s the only singer who’s going to make fans forget about Steven Tyler (for at least a while anyway). And Robert won’t even rejoin Zeppelin.
(Or maybe even Joe himself can do the singing?)
“As far as replacing Steven, it’s not just about that, it’s also four guys that play extremely well together, and I’m not going to see that go to waste.”
But, maybe the four guys that “play extremely well together” can choose another band name?! Tyler is too ingrained into Aerosmith. And Aerosmith is too much of a rock legacy. The band are no Zeppelin, Who, or Stones, but they are next up. I mean, can you imagine if any of those aforementioned bands had a different singer? Please.
I know your 71 year old … oops, I mean 61 year old singer just apparently quit. But don’t bring in some 20 something from some tribute band like, say, Judas Priest did.
We all know how that turned out.
