Pixie Lott Does Hologram Gigs At UK Shopping Centers In Orange Mobile-Phone Promotion
Pixie Lott is among the British artists who are doing hologram gigs in shopping centers around the UK in a promotion sponsored by the Orange mobile-phone company. The gigs celebrate the launch of Orange pay-as-you-go music tariff Monkey with 4Music. The Orange Monkey package offers free music to mobile-phone users when they top up their phone. Orange’s three-way partnership with Universal Music and 4Music gives customers access to hundreds of thousands of songs streamed through their mobile handset or online at http://www.orange.co.uk/monkey.
N-Dubz and Tinchy Stryder are also appearing in the hologram gigs. Stryder will be appearing live at all of the performances and N-Dubz will be appearing on Sunday, October 18th at the Arndale Centre in Manchester.
The performances started on September 19th and 20th at the Lakeside Centre in London. They moved to the Bullring in Birmingham last weekend. Today and tomorrow, they will be featured at Meadowhall in Sheffield. The hologram gigs will also take place next Saturday and Sunday, October 10th and 11th, at Cabots Circus in Bristol and on Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th at the Arndale Centre in Manchester. The gigs take place approximately every 20 minutes throughout the weekend at the respective shopping centers from a special Orange Hologram “stage.” The gigs are free, with no ticket required.

Pixie’s debut album, Turn It Up, was released on September 14th in the UK on Mercury Records. No American release date has been announced yet.
