One of the finest young bands of the moment in the UK, The Subways, recently gave a great performance at the XFM Winter Wonderland 2008 in Manchester. One of the songs that The Subways performed that night, “Rock & Roll Queen,” is now available for viewing on the XFM London Web site. To watch the video, click here.

Good stuff. The Subways’ New York City show in July was one of the best concerts that I saw in 2008. (See my review of it here. When the page opens, scrolll down.) I hope they get back to NYC in 2009. They will be touring in Europe and Australia in January and February.

  1. The subways are amazing…I’ve been following them since they broke out just a few years ago at the reading festival, I believe. Rock n’ Roll Queen has to be in the top 10 best 3-chord rock songs…It would be a great list to compile on of these days.
