Duffy was very forthcoming in her interview with Everitt, and quite a few topics were discussed in the five-minute interview. Duffy spoke about: listening to BBC Radio 2 as a child, and how the music on the station influenced her; the four years that it took to record her debut album, Rockferry, and her shock over the adulation that the album received upon its release; playing the Apollo Theater in New York City, and learning about the theater’s history; and the raucous crowds that she played to in America and her appreciation of the enthusiasm of those crowds for her music.
Listening to Duffy being interviewed is a trip. She’ll take 45 seconds to a minute answering one question. Love that great Welsh accent as well.
