Noel Gallagher Of Oasis Is Assaulted Onstage At Toronto’s V Festival
Last night at Toronto’s V Festival, Oasis were performing their headline set and were playing the song “Morning Glory” when a fan rushed onto the stage from the wings and pushed Noel Gallagher (pictured above) into the photographers’ pit in front of the stage. The assailant was subdued by security and was arrested. After a short delay, Oasis returned to the stage and finished their set.
Gallagher may have fractured a rib in the incident. Tomorrow night’s show in London, Ontario might have to be postponed due to Gallagher’s injury. Oasis are also scheduled to perform a special club show at New York City’s Terminal 5 this Friday night. The New York show is to be recorded and filmed.
Considering that Noel Gallagher is known to have a bit of a temper, I’m sure he had some choice words for security for their failure to keep the interloper off the stage. Granted, the incident happened very quickly, but somebody dropped the ball on this one.
A video of the incident can be seen by clicking below. The incident occurs at 1:30 into the video.

Why can’t he be more like his brother, Liam? Stuff like this probably wouldn’t happen.
