Sammy Hagar Claims Van Halen Did Their Fans Wrong
Sammy’s big beef is Van Halen’s diss of Michael Anthony as far as a real “reunion” was concerned. On a rock radio station show, The Tour Bus, Sammy vented:
“They just keep going, making more and more mistakes. The reunion with Dave was the greatest thing they could have done, but why didn’t they just keep Mike one more time?! They just can’t do the right thing by the fans. I don’t know why that band… There’s just something quirky to where they… It’s almost like they wanna just push ‘em [the fans] as far as they can and see if they’ll still come back.”
What is Sammy talking about?! To tell you the truth, the fans loved the last reunion tour. It was very successful (cha-ching), and fans enjoyed seeing the father and son team of Eddie and Wolfgang up on stage together. Personally, seeing David Lee Roth back was worth every penny for me, even if it was 20 years past the band’s prime.
No offense, Sammy, but a lot of “fans” could care less about Van Halen when you were in the band.

Hagar The Horrible is probably still miffed that the fans prefer Roth to him as Van Halen’s singer. Ol’ Sammy should stick to making his tequila and leave Van Halen in his past.
Maybe Van Halen should do a reunion tour with Gary Cherone. That’ll REALLY piss Sammy off. :)

When VH first went into the studio to record their first album, they requested to use producer Ted Templeman. Primarily because the really liked the sound of another album he produced for a band called Montrose. It’s lead singer: One Sammy Hagar!

How many New albums has Van Halen recorded since Sammy was allegedly ousted? Hmm? I don’t recall, cuz I didn’t buy them, Yes David Lee was awesome in VH’s hayday, and Eddie and Alex are rock legends, However Mr. Sammy Hagar was responsible for several great VH albums in his brief stint with the Brothers Van Halen and He has the nack for keeping Rock alive, even if he is Making Tequila in Mexico or jammin on stage at one of his 2 clubs Cabo Wabo and Tahoe Wabo, the man is genius and has a voice that can blow David Lee’s away “RighT NOW”, Michael Anthony is yet another genius, owns his own company away form the stage as well, funny how he had the smarts to stay away from a sinking ship..seems to me that the Van Halen boys are more P.O.ed than Sammy, guess living the beach life in Cabo can soothe the soul and inspire one to write music at it’s best..not a bunch of cover songs…
