Robert Plant Turns 60
Robert Plant had his 60th birthday on Wednesday, August 20th. Plant, who famously reunited with his surviving Led Zeppelin bandmates for a one-off reunion for charity at London’s O2 Arena last December, will resume his Raising Sand tour with Alison Krauss next month. It seems less and less likely that Led Zeppelin will be playing any more shows together in the near future, if ever.
In any event, Powerline A.D. wishes a happy 60th to Mr. Plant.
Here are a few videos from different parts of Plant’s career:
“Communication Breakdown” by Led Zeppelin (live 1969):
“Misty Mountain Hop” by Led Zeppelin (live at Knebworth 1979):
“In The Evening” by Led Zeppelin, my personal favorite Zep songĀ (live at Knebworth 1979):
“Little Sister” (cover of Elvis Presley song) by Robert Plant with Rockpile, featuring Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe (live at the Concerts for the People of Kampuchea, London’s Hammersmith Odeon 1979):
“Burning Down One Side” by Robert Plant, still my favorite Plant solo songĀ (first solo single, from album Pictures at Eleven):
“Sea of Love” by The Honeydrippers (cover of Phil Phillips song):
“Tall Cool One” by Robert Plant:
“Gone Gone Gone” by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss (cover of Everly Brothers song):

Pat:
Led Zeppelin now has their own You Tube channel. The Knebworth videos I used are not from that channel, however, so they might get pulled down.
