My Chemical Romance Claim Exhaustion; Band Will Take Break

After two years of touring in support of The Black Parade, MCR will take some time off.

The band claims they need to gather creative inspiration for a new album. In the words of frontman, Gerard Way:

“We can’t make any more music unless we live. But I’m already starting to get the ideas and the aesthetics and everything, and it’s very different from The Black Parade.”

But you have to wonder if all this recent backlash about suicidal influence in their music had something to do with the “exhaustion” and creative block. They took a lot of heat from the press, and, IMHO, unwarranted. Afterall, listen to the man, kiddies: “We can’t make any more music unless we live.” Notice the emphasis on  the word live. (;
