Poison Bassist Bobby Dall Opens Up About Sebastian Bach’s Trash Talk and Bret Michaels TV Fame
Nowadays, Bobby Dall (right) is the least mentioned member of Poison; with Bret Michaels a fixture on reality television, Rikki Rockett rocked with false rape allegations, and C.C. a tabloid fascination. But Bobby quickly let off some steam about Poisonic issues with a Florida newspaper, Bradenton Herald (Bobby is a Florida resident afterall).
Bobby joked , “I can’t seem to keep these guys out of trouble. My children behave better.”
On the subject of Bret Michaels recent celebrity, Bobby had some mixed feelings:
“Bret does what Bret does. I don’t have to necessarily always agree with it personally. I think some of the things that he does benefit Poison; some of them don’t. But no press is bad press. It’s that type of business.”
Bret does what Bret does very well. I disagree that any of Bret’s television show may be hurting Poison. If anything, it’s drawing more attention to Poison and their music again. In fact, the very same reporter who did the Bradenton interview with Bobby started the article by calling Poison a “nostalgia act”! Bret’s recent play with fame is breaking that perception some, IMHO.
The best part of the interview, however, is Bobby’s opinion on Sebastian Bach (his solo project is opening for Poison on a recent tour) and his history of trash talking (Seb Bach also once wore a shirt that played on the popular RAID tv commercial: AIDS. Kills fags dead).
In one older interview, Sebastian Bach sneered: “Skid Row fans are not Poison fans.” Bobby did notice the irony of the situation now, even though it was all water under the bridge to him:
“I’m not the one eating my words. I have no animosity myself; I never did. Sebastian obviously did at one point. He’s had to eat a little bit of crow. That’s his issue to deal with, not mine. I wish him well. When it was convenient for him to say the things he wanted to say, he said that. Now he’s opening for my band. So be it.”
Trust me. Many Poison fans were/are Skid Row fans. And Sebastian Bach was looking as glam-maniacal as them all back in the hair band 80s — and Powerline once published the pictures to prove it
