Oasis Discuss New Album With BBC 6 Music
According to BBC 6 Music, the upcoming album from Oasis is going to be titled Dig Out Your Soul and will be released in the UK on October 6th. The first single from the album, “The Shock Of The Lightning,” will debut on September 29th in the UK. The album will feature songs written by all four members of the band.
On the subject of the band’s new music, Noel Gallagher told BBC 6 Music:
“I wanted to write music that had a groove; not songs that followed that traditional pattern of verse, chorus and middle eight. I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic; more driving.
“Songs that would draw you in, in a different way. Songs that you would maybe have to connect to – to feel.”

It’s nice that Noel Gallagher finally has some new music to talk about. Maybe now he’ll spend less time slagging off other bands in the press and criticizing Jay-Z for appearing at Glastonbury. Given Noel’s very high opinion of himself, I’m fully expecting the new Oasis album to be stellar. I hope they deliver.
