Great Clip Of QOTSA’s Josh Homme Venting At Fan In Norway Surfaces On You Tube
Future attendees of live gigs by Queens of the Stone Age had best think twice about hurling any objects at the band’s lead singer, Josh Homme (pictured above in a photo by Nick Helderman). Given the profane fury with which Homme addressed a cluless idiot who threw something at him at a recent gig in Norway, I don’t think that Homme will see many incidents like that in the future.

Good on Josh Homme for doing what he did. I’ve been to many shows since I started going to live gigs back in the early 1980s, and I’ve seen too many cowardly assholes do things like what that fan in Norway did and think they can get away with it because of their anonymity within the crowd. That fan deserved every bit of abuse that Homme hurled at him. It’s about time that concertgoers who can’t behave start to get called out for their misbehavior.

There’s a YouTube video of the country singer, Tim McGraw, pulling a rowdy fan to the stage and handing him over to security. He noticed the fan was molesting a girl in the crowd and he took action. That’s how a real man handles a situation. He wasn’t just hurling hollow threats to a stoned 12 year old kid! And it was a big fat guy, too!
