Feeder Talk To XFM London And BBC Radio 2 About Their New Album

Feeder’s Grant Nicholas and Mark Richardson stopped by XFM London’s Leicester Square studios this past week to talk about the new Feeder album, Silent Cry, with XFM’s Julian Marszalek. Nicholas and Richardson talked about how the album, which is due to be released on June 16th in the UK, is a return to Feeder’s heavy roots. Richadson said:

“It’s definitely heavier but it wasn’t a conscious decision. It’s just the way the songs were written and after the last two records it wasn’t a surprise when we heard the demos and the material was uplifting, uptempo, and heavier.”

Feeder also appeared on Dermot O’Leary’s program on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday, June 7th. O’Leary interviewed the band and Feeder played acoustic versions of their latest single “We Are The People” as well as a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Hurt.” (Both songs sounded great.) To listen to Feeder’s appearance on O’Leary’s show, which runs about 15 minutes, go to O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/dermot/ and click the “Hear the show” link under where it says “LISTEN AGAIN” on the upper right-hand side of the page. When the BBCi Radio Player opens, click the 15 mins. fast-forward button eight times, which will place you two hours into the program. Feeder’s segment begins shortly after that. O’Leary’s program featuring Feeder’s session will be online until next Saturday, June 14th.
