NEW AND NOTEWORTHY BAND: BlackStrap

If you love everything there is about 80s/90s alternative music than you will embrace BlackStrap. Their new album (above) “Steal My Horses And Run” (great title) is at points a supercharged fuzz-guitar ala Jesus and Mary Chain, at other times a molten female vocal influence ala Cocteau Twins. In short, a wonderful package.

The Swedish band’s vocals are shared in a boy girl combo with Jonatan Westh and Maria Lindén, too.
