ITV London Interviews The Ting Tings At The London Astoria
On Thursday, May 22nd, Katie White and Jules De Martino of The Ting Tings were interviewed by ITV London News prior to their gig at the soon-to-be-closed London Astoria.
Quite a few topics were discussed in the interview, which runs at about eight minutes. White and De Martino discussed their influences and the history of the band, including the role that MySpace played in their success and how they got their start by playing house parties. In addition, they talked about their displeasure at the closing of the London Astoria, the summer festivals that they are playing this year, and the Champions League Final, which had been played the night before the interview, and was won by the Greatest Soccer Team of All Time, Manchester United (of course!). De Martino also revealed that he wears sunglasses on stage due to his sensitivity to light.

Sensitive to light?
I hink you should be more honest and just say you use them to hide behind them…….. after all since when turning 40 has made anyone sensitive to light……. There is nothing wrong with getting older.
