The Ting Tings Do Great Session For XFM London’s Live From Leicester Square
Last Friday, up-and-coming Manchester duo The Ting Tings performed a stellar session for XFM London’s Live From Leicester Square feature. The Ting Tings, whose debut album, We Started Nothing, will be released on May 19th in the UK, did three songs in the session: “That’s Not My Name,” “Great DJ,” and a cover of KIngs of Leon’s “The Bucket.” The session is now available on the XFM Web site for on-demand listening. The Ting Tings, who are comprised of Katie White and Jules De Martino, have been getting quite a bit of airplay on UK music radio and a lot of ink in the UK music press. And they are starting to make some inroads here in the States as well. Their “Great DJ” single was the Free Single of the Week on US iTunes recently, and they start a North American tour on June 7th in San Diego. (They will be playing Bowery Ballroom in New York City on June 18th.)
