Fatboy Slim Discusses New Album On Sky Sports’ Soccer AM

This past Saturday morning (April 19th), Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) appeared on Sky Sports’ Soccer AM program in the UK to discuss his upcoming album and some of the big outdoor gigs he will be playing this summer. Appearing on the show with Fatboy Slim was Damian Harris (aka Midfield General), the owner of Fatboy Slim’s UK label, Skint Records. Harris is also a recording artist for Skint and talked about some of the music he has made with the show’s hosts, Helen Chamberlain and Andy Goldstein.

Cook revealed during the interview that the new album is not quite finished yet, but will be soon and is slated for a September release. Iggy Pop will be among the guests on the album. Cook also stated that he will be performing at several large outdoor gigs in the UK this summer, including Hyde Park in London and the Glastonbury festival as well as a huge show at his hometown’s Brighton beach. Cook has played Brighton beach in recent years to crowds of around 250,000.
