CBGB Remains Rock n’ Roll!

The next best thing to keeping the club alive.

The legendary space that was once CBGB has been saved from a generic corporate rebirth… by simply being rented by designer John Varvatos. Varvatos, a huge rock fan himself, was worried the space would turn into something like a CVS drugstore, so he rented it and turned it into his own fashion boutique that is sort of a tribute to the rock n’ roll club — keeping the club ambiance with the original walls (stickers and all!) preserved by glass. Varvatos has also decorated the space with rock memorabilia and will have bands play there periodically.
