Review Of Carbon/Silicon At Irving Plaza Is Now Up On Powerline A.D.
A review of Carbon/Silicon’s show this past Friday night (April 4th) at The Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza is now online on the main Powerline A.D. site at http://www.powerlinead.com/live.
The gig was excellent. The band sounded great, and the crowd were very enthusiastic. Carbon/Silicon, featuring Mick Jones, formerly of The Clash and Big Audio Dynamite, and Tony James, ex-Generation X and Sigue Sigue Sputnik, still have a great deal to offer musically.
It was really cool to get to hear Mick Jones do a bit of “Police On My Back” during the encore. The crowd loved it, and their response showed the affection that New York still has for The Clash 25 years after Jones left that band.

This is an even more lackluster performance than what I saw at SXSW.
