Kings of Glam Rock Are Here
Louis XIV has been a top-notch glam rock band for some time; a real glam band, more influenced by David Bowie and Kix than Nitro. Their AC/DC laden riffs and sexual lyrics drive their music into a competitive force. But now they are moving away from that sound, into a field more needed in rock today: a sound that the band compares to ELO. Also, the lyrics will be more political this time around. That combo excites me and hope to hear their new disc, Slick Dogs and Ponies when it comes out at the end of the month. and their site, will do too: www.louisxiv.net/home.html
They are currently on tour, too. Last night they played in NYC.
